23rd Annual Anoka Riverfest & Craft Fair Set for July 9

ANOKA, MN. – If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly outing for your “stay-cation” or just a great way to spend a Saturday with family and friends,  visit downtown Anoka for the 23rd Annual Anoka Riverfest & Craft Fair on Saturday, July , from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Drawing over 20,000 people each year, this event offers a variety of some of the best artists and crafters, a beautiful setting along the Rum River, delicious food, and live music!  There is plenty for everyone to enjoy,” said Peter Turok, President of the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce.  “Riverfest is one of the largest outdoor craft fairs in the Twin Cities, with more than 120 juried crafters and artists.”  

Stroll through the many craft exhibitor booths lined along Jackson Street, parts of 2nd Avenue, and throughout City Hall River Plaza.  Tempt your taste buds with fair-like food sold in the Riverfest food court.  Back this year is live music.  Performances on Veterans Stage at Riverfront Memorial Park include:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Rum River Brass
  • 12:30 p.m. – Ron Chamberlain’s Big Stoop Band
  • 3:30 p.m. – Retro Soul and the Westside Horns featuring Big Mike

Anoka has many popular eating establishments to also tempt your taste buds, many with outdoor seating. You will also find a craft brewery, wine bar, many antique shops, an ice cream parlor, and several quaint boutique-style shops filled with clothing, jewelry, accessories, décor, and so much more!
