Medallion Hunt

February  4th

The medallion hunt will begin on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 and will continue throughout the Snowflake Days celebration until found. Clues will be posted on this page daily.

Miss Coon Rapids/Miss Coon Rapids Outstanding Teen Pageant

Free Community Waffle Breakfast

Free Public Skate

At the Cric Indoor Rink. Skate rentals available for purchase.

Snow Sculpture Contest

February  9th, until 11:59pm

​Create your own snow or ice sculpture in your front yard!

PRIZES:
1ST PLACE: $200
2ND PLACE: $150
3RD PLACE: $100

​All sculptures must be complete by 11:59 p.m. February 9th. Judging to take place February 10th.

Sculptures will be judged on originality, quality of work, design and general effect.

A map featuring addresses of the sculpture locations will be available online on date TBD for public viewing (participants have until end of ​day February 9th to actually finish sculptures).​

Mayor’s Cup Simulated Golf Tourney

February  10th-11th

Bunker Hill Golf Course. Finals and awards around 12:30pm on February 11th.

Winter Fun at Sand Creek Park Day

February  11th, 10am – 2pm

Sand Creek Park & Warming house. Hot dogs & hot chocolate served until gone.

Please bring a non-perishable food donation for the ACBC Food Shelf.

Schedule of events:

• Cookies & Canvas 12pm – 2pm: Children paint their own art canvas with fun winter themes. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
• Outdoor Skating & Games 12pm – 2pm: Ice bowling, dice games, and more!
• Snowman Building Contest 10am – 1:30pm: Must provide all of your own materials to decorate your snowman
  Prizes to be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place​ and will take place at 2:15 at Sand Creek Warming House

Kid’s Medallion Hunt

February  11th, 10:15am – 11:15am

Sand Creek Park Concession Stand & Warming House.

Open to children 5-10 years of age.

Girl’s only hunt will begin at 10:15 a.m. Boy’s only hunt will begin immediately following the girl’s hunt.

IMPORTANT: There must be a minimum of 10 children participating in each group for the hunts to take place. Encourage registering in advance of the event (see Kid’s Medallion Hunt tab). Previous medallion hunt winners are ineligible to participate.

A $200 gift card from Jerry’s Schwinn will be awarded to the winner of each group.
