March 14, 2024 Crooners Supper Club

Modern Jazz, Standards, Blues and Originals

An intimate evening of romantic songs and funky blues from her latest album, an exploration of the healing powers of love.

John Dimartino piano

Singing jazz in California as a teenager, Judy Niemack decided to move to the Big Apple in the late ‘70s to become a “real” jazz singer. She eventually made her way to Europe, where her career flourished, and along the way has recorded 15 superior jazz albums. “What’s Love”represents the vulnerable side of Judy’s lifelong vocal artistry. Her musical partner John di Martino is a jazz pianist , composer, and arranger based in New York City, described as a “shape-shifter” for his creativity across musical genres.

“Her creative odyssey provides a fascinating illustration of the high road to mastery that transcends the limitations of genre…a vocalist of theatrical depth and consummate syllabic invention..” –Downbeat
