Anoka Winterfest

February 8, 2020 George Enloe Park

Escape winter hibernation and celebrate Anoka’s winter wonderland with a flurry of outdoor (weather permitting) and indoor festivities at Anoka Winterfest.

Kids can enter a drawing to be one of a few lucky winners (age 10 and younger, under 100 lbs.) to take a ride with the Dog Sled Team at either 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. A parent or guardian of each winner must sign waivers before the child can ride. Don’t worry, for those that are not drawn to ride, the furry, beautiful sled dogs will be available for petting and viewing throughout the event!

Vision Checks
Have your child’s vision checked during Anoka Winterfest. Lions Kidsight USA is a nationwide program to safeguard the vision of children, concentrating on kids aged 6 months through 6 years. This service is offered for free by the local Lions Club under the Md5M Lions KidSight vision screening program. The screening takes just seconds and there is no physical contact with the child and no eye drops are administrated. Consent forms will be available at the event. Note: This is only a screening and does not constitute an examination or diagnosis of vision problems. To learn more about the program, visit http://lionskidsightusa.org/.
