Community Tree Lighting Festival

The Coon Rapids Community Tree Lighting Festival started in 2021. This chilly event is made merry by celebrating the holiday spirit through warm drinks like cocoa and cider, gathering around bonfires, singing around the tree, and ends with a spectacular sight as the tree is lit up with festive lights.

Donate a Tree!
Our next holiday tree could be yours! Do you have a large evergreen tree you would consider donating to a future Community Tree Lighting Festival? If so, please fill out the Tree Donation Interest Form.

Completing an interest form does not obligate you to donate a tree. Inquiries will be evaluated by City staff and members of the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation to determine if a tree is appropriate for donation.
