As the new year begins and the cold weather settles in, take the time to appreciate the warm community spirit of the North Star state. From the Snowflake Days in Coon Rapids to the Winterfest in Fridley, these frosty festivities celebrate Minnesota’s longest season.

 

Winterfest

Fridley’s annual Winterfest, hosted at the Springbrook Nature Center, is Saturday, Jan. 25. It is free for the whole family, and you do not want to miss this event! Past activities have included a medallion hunt, ice bowling, snowball launching, stories around the campfire, and more. More information is available on the City of Fridley’s website. Embrace the season’s charm and celebrate with Fridley’s welcoming community.

 

Snowflake Days

Join Coon Rapids for the 61st Annual Snowflake Days this January! Beginning Friday, Jan. 31, and lasting through Sunday, Feb. 9, this winter festival is sure to provide over a week of fun! A family-friendly event for kids of all ages, Snowflake Days consists of a week full of winter-esque activities, including the Snow Sculpture Contest, Medallion Hunt, and skating.
