Snowflake Days

Snowflake Days is marking its 60th anniversary in 2024! This year’s winter celebration in Coon Rapids runs Jan. 27-Feb. 11. Make snow sculptures, ice skate indoors and out, play games, eat treats and more!

The following events are sponsored by the City of Coon Rapids, in partnership with the volunteer committee, as part of the 2024 Snowflake Days festivities:

• Snow Sculpture Contest – Build a snow or ice sculpture in your front yard and you could win a prize! Sign up by Jan. 29.
• Community Parade – Watch the City’s big rigs light up the night sky on Jan. 30. We will collect donations curbside along the parade route.
• Senior Snowflake Party – Enjoy music from Rich and the Resistors, a meatloaf lunch, coffee and dessert on Feb. 2.
• Winter Fun at Sand Creek Park – Enjoy outdoor skating, snow painting, crafts and a kids medallion hunt on Feb. 3.
• Family Fun Day at CRIC – Join us for on Feb. 11 for FREE family activities at the Coon Rapids Ice Center.
